The Clay County Collector has implemented a new system for property and real estate payment information. The new system allows you to print your tax receipts online.
Once the setup is complete, it will also allow you to pay your taxes online. This feature is in addition to the current online payment options through UMB and OnlinePayments.com.

(a notice by the Clay County Collector, 9/29/2005)Anyone having a real estate transaction after September will not get their real estate tax bill. Our office has faxed every real estate office, title company, bank, savings and loan, and mortgage loan company asking them to tell their clients purchasing homes from now till the end of the year that they must call our office (816.407.3200) to get the amount owed in order to make the December, 31st deadline for payment. We also know that about 3% of all bills will not reach their destination because of taxpayers moving and the fact that we are mailing at the heaviest traffic time for the post office.
The Clay County Collector's Office operates within the statutes of the state of Missouri. The purpose of the County Collector's Office is to collect taxes owed on personal and real property, delinquent taxes owed on real estate, and to distribute monies collected to the appropriate taxing entities, in accordance with State of Missouri statutes. In addition, the Collector is responsible for the administration of data and the checks and balances of that data and day-to-day operations of the office. The Collector's Office offers on-line tax payments on a 24/7 basis, and makes its records available through the award-winning Public Access Resource Center, as well as on the web through the Collector's Real-Estate on-line database.

Clay County offers payment through UMB Bank e-checks. The tax payer will be charged $1.50 regardless of the taxable amount. If you would like to make use of this secure service, click here.
Since 2002, the Clay County Collectors Offices also offers 24-hour telephone credit
card payment of taxes to Clay County taxpayers, as the first Collector's Office
in the state of Missouri.
